Checkered flags and Silly outfits June 13, 2006

This weekend was the grand opening of the Ten Mile Speedway – the only go-kart track in Summit County. To open the track in style, Copper hosted Derby Days. Teams of four competed in a number of differently formatted races in what I can only describe as organized chaos and to add to the atmoisphere, the teams also held a contest for the most outrageous team costumes.
The racers enjoyeds the wind in their hair, the crowd enjoyed the tight corners and silly costumes, and the haybails around the track will see another weekend.
The Ten Mile Speedway is open throughout the summer at Copper and is available a la carte or as part of the Summer Day Pass.
Thanks,
LP
